About / Selected experienceFour decades across business and ideas.
Sebastian Lethansen is an international business adviser, entrepreneur and author whose career has spanned finance, investment banking, business development, leadership, international trade and new ventures.
Over more than four decades, he has worked from many sides of business—as an investment banker, financial adviser, executive, partner, entrepreneur, consultant, teacher and founder.
Through Lethansen, that breadth of experience is made available to entrepreneurs, owners, executives and investors on selected advisory assignments.
01International finance & investment banking
A significant part of Sebastian’s career was spent in international finance, investment banking and financial services, including senior positions with Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, BNY Mellon Shareholder Services and Edward Jones. This brought direct experience of capital markets, transactions, investors and financial strategy.
02Business leadership & entrepreneurship
Sebastian has also worked as an executive, partner, entrepreneur and adviser in privately held businesses and professional firms. That distinction matters: there is often a considerable difference between a solution that works on paper and one that can actually be implemented.
03International business
International business has been a recurring theme throughout Sebastian’s career. His experience includes cross-border business development and work with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), bringing together private-sector, international trade and economic-development perspectives.
04Teaching & knowledge
Sebastian has taught at the University of Cambridge. His academic background includes studies in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Copenhagen, including the Niels Bohr and H.C. Ørsted Institutes. Analytical thinking and practical experience continue to shape his approach.
05Strategic advisory
His advisory experience encompasses strategy, capital, transactions, entrepreneurship, international business development, commercialisation and special situations. The common denominator is a meaningful problem, opportunity or decision where independent thinking can add value.
06Author & founder
Sebastian is the founder of Wicreation and Wicreation Press, and the creator of the Wicreation book series. His work explores how entrepreneurship, capital, knowledge, communities and human potential can be connected more effectively.
